Farm & Rainbow rooms

With a specially designed baby room and highly qualified staff holding level 5 to 8 qualifications and many years’ experience, Bridge Kids offers state-of-the-art childcare and crèche facilities for babies and toddlers from 6 months old to two years in the Farm and Rainbow room.

We pride ourselves on offering a rich play and learning experience both indoors and outdoors, prioritising socialisation, independence, and communication in a home from home environment to help your child grow and prepare them with skills to last them a lifetime.

Babies- Farm Room

All babies are cared for with a staff ratio of 1:3 to allow us to provide the level of attention that all babies need. Before starting out with our babies’ day-care service, your carer will discuss your baby’s care plan to ensure a smooth transition from home to our childcare service. We always encourage regular communication with your carer to ensure optimum care.

Daily records are kept for all babies and infants. We have an interactive app (little Vista) that provides parents with real time updates on your child.

  • Prior to commencing at the service, we ask parents to provide a written routine and to complete our Parent Handbook with Child Profile/Getting to know me forms. This allows us to meet your baby’s individual requirements perfectly.
  • Parents provide baby’s premade formula /milk on a daily basis. Nappies, wipes, cream, powder and other individual supplies will be stored on your child’s individual shelf to prevent any cross-contamination and staff will notify you when supplies are low on little vista.
  • We have a separate sleep room for our babies. There is a viewing panel on the door/window of each sleep room and children are physically checked every 5 minutes whilst sleeping. We ensure to keep a record is of each sleep check. We provide cot linen which is laundered on the premises on a daily basis for optimum comfort and hygiene.
  • Our curriculum is tailored to provide sensory stimulation and engagement for babies as they are learning all the time at this age.

Wobblers - Rainbow Room

Infants move between the Farm and rainbow room as they grow and mature so that their individual needs are met. In our Rainbow Room the staff ratio is 1:5. Babies generally transition from the Farm room to the Rainbow room between 12 and 15 months of age depending on stage of development. In the Rainbow room, we focus on developing motor skills, communication skills, social skills, and much more.
Children learn through emulating others and watching older children so their development is aided by being around children who are a few months older.
Each day is action-packed with exciting, child-initiated activities to nurture developmental skills including walking, co-ordination, talking, motor skills, and much more. These activities include art & crafts, movement activities, dress-up, garden time, dance and song to name a few.  Parents and staff enjoy a continuous exchange of ideas. Together with written observations, our Little Vista app by means of messages or photos and meet and greet to ensure a meaningful dialogue between home and crèche, your child’s development and growth is supported through communication.
We encourage social development by sitting with the children to sing songs and read stories both indoors and outdoors.
We understand children develop at different stages. Staff encourage the children to independently paint and feed themselves when they are able to.

Toddlers – Under The Sea

As your baby graduates to the Under the Sea group, they will have access to all the facilities that are essential to their continued growth and development. Alongside these top-quality childcare facilities, Bridge Kids curriculum is designed for their age and ability.

The staff-to-child ratio for children between 24 and 36 months is 1:6.

It is well recognised that a child’s environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children’s development and learning, which is why at Bridge Kids we strive to create an environment which, in concurrence with the child’s staff members, enables just that. We strive to maintain the indoor and outdoor environment to the highest standard. Our curriculum of learning through play supports children’s innate curiosity and develops a range of crucial life-skills while promoting fun, socialisation, and inclusivity.

Pre-School sessions- Jungle/Rainforest & The DEN

Pre-School is a fantastic way of preparing your child for school and helping them to develop lifelong skills that will help them to thrive in years to come. Here at Bridge Kids we have 2 ECCE sessions Jungle Rainforest and The DEN. We believe in a fun, play-based approach to learning and early years’ development, using the Aistear Síolta framework of early education. With a tailored curriculum to the two pre-school years, we aim to avoid repetition to ensure that children are presented with fun, new challenges throughout their time in our 2 pre-schools rooms. Our preschool teachers are passionate about childcare and expert in supporting your child’s development within a playful and fun atmosphere. Every child’s journey is unique and is recorded through paintings, collages, drawings and photographs of your child and their pre-school adventure.

We recognise that the pre-school years of 3-5 are especially important and lay the foundations of your child’s primary education. We have a good rapport with the local national school St. Finnachtas and communicate directly with the teachers and principal annually prior to children transitioning to primary school
